Mike Mesewicz is Vice President of Payer Partnerships. In that role, Mike will lead relationships with Shutterproof’s current health insurance partners. He is also responsible for expanding medical plan partnerships across Shutterproof’s locations. Shutterproof is currently active in 12 states, with two more states planned for 2023.
Mike is a medical professional specializing in business development, customer relations, operations and behavioral health clinical management. Mike has held various positions during his 20+ year career with Optum. These roles have allowed him to work with health insurance, employers, state partners, brokers, consultants, and other parties serving all lines of business, including commerce, Medicaid, Medicare, and foreign exchange. . Mike also worked for OhioHealth, a large community health system based in Columbus, Ohio, where he led the Employer Services business development team. Early in his career, he worked as an emergency room crisis social worker.
Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from Otterbein University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Ohio State University. Mike also studied at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. He has his LISW license in Ohio.
Mike lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Pam, and enjoys spending time with his growing family. Mike enjoys a variety of activities including travel, music and a wide range of indoor and outdoor fitness his activities.
